Rachel Ritchie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Modern European Languages from Durham University and an MA in Museum Studies and Heritage Management from the University of Barcelona. Rachel has lived in Catalonia since 1995 and is currently based in the Priorat with her Catalan husband and young son.

She is fluent in English, Spanish, Catalan, French and German and has a diverse understanding of the history and geography of Catalonia. More particularly, she knows and is known by the leading wine producers, hoteliers and restaurateurs in the Priorat. As a respected resident of the region, she is able to gain access to certain places and thus provide insight beyond the standardised tour.
